SHANGHAI (Reuters) – Chinese authorities have ordered an American Chamber of Commerce in southwestern Chengdu to cease operations, the organization said on Tuesday.
According to an online statement from the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in southwest China, its members were notified Monday that the chamber would cease operations and “no longer conduct any activity” on behalf of the American Chamber of Commerce in southwest China, in accordance with Chinese laws and regulations “.
