Christina Applegate recognized with MS | leisure

Christina Applegate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).

The 49-year-old actress announced on Twitter on Tuesday (08/10/21) that she only learned a few months ago that she suffers from the autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system.

She wrote: “Hello friends. I was diagnosed with MS a few months ago. It’s been a strange journey. But I’ve been so supported by people I know who also have this disease. It’s been a tough road. But like all of us you know the road goes on Unless someone is blocking it. “

Christina’s fellow actor Selma Blair revealed her own diagnosis of MS three years ago, stating that she first experienced symptoms when she walked the catwalk for Christian Siriano during New York Fashion Week 2018.

She said, “I have #multiple sclerosis. I’m in an exacerbation. By the Lord’s grace and willpower and the understanding producers at Netflix, I have a job. A wonderful job. I’m disabled. I fall sometimes. I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken GPS. But we do. And I laugh and I don’t know exactly what I’m going to do, but I’ll do my best to get my diagnosis in at 10.30pm the night of August 16, I got love and support from my friends, especially @jaime_king @sarahmgellar @realfreddieprinze @tarasubkoff @ noah.d.newman.

“And big thanks to @elizberkley for making me see her brother #drjasonberkley who made me this diagnosis after finding lesions on this MRI. I’ve had symptoms for years but was never taken seriously until I fell in front of him when I tried to try. ” sort out what I thought was a pinched nerve. I’ve probably had this terminal illness for at least 15 years. And I’m relieved to at least know. And share (sic). “
