Crystal Palace 3-Zero Tottenham Hotspur: Eagles beat championship leaders Spurs to their first win of the league season
Wilfried Zaha opens his account for the season against Spurs
Odsonne Edouard scored two goals on his debut as Crystal Palace celebrated their first win of the season, ending the 10-man Tottenham’s 100 percent Premier League start.
Wilfried Zaha started the Eagles and rolled off the pitch after a handball penalty from Ben Davies before substitute Edouard added a second and third place late.
French striker Edouard, a new signing from Celtic, introduced himself in a fine way to Selhurst Park believers, turning Zaha’s cross a minute into the substitution and then steering in Conor Gallagher’s pass.
The result moves Palace to 11th place in the table and it was no more than they deserved after a dominant performance against the league leaders.
Even before Japhet Tanganga’s dismissal, the hosts were way ahead, with the Spurs defender receiving two yellow cards within five minutes before the hour.
