The Mississippi State Fair is less than a month away and the entertainment has just been announced. This year’s show will take place from October 6th to 17th at the Jackson Exhibition Center. Smash Mouth will perform on the Budweiser Stage on October 7th. Magnolia Drive will play the opening night, which is also the Mississippi Heroes Night. Country music artist Riley Green will perform on October 12th. The Bar-Kays will take the stage on October 14th. Click here for the full list of artists. This year’s fair also includes the Firefighter Challenge and a border village with pig races, a petting zoo and a rattlesnake show. The new Trade Mart will host an Ag Expo, antique and classic car show, arts and crafts exhibits, and vendors from across the United States. The gates open at 5 p.m. on October 6 for the 162nd Mississippi State Fair.
