TACKL Well being opens new COVID-19 take a look at middle in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Georgia (WTOC) – If you’d like to get tested for COVID-19, a new testing site is now available in Savannah.

The location is on Eisenhower Drive and is open seven days a week.

As the number of COVID-19 cases in Chatham County and the surrounding areas rises, TACKL Health is rising too. Representatives say they wanted to help accommodate the number of people who would like to be tested and get tested quickly.

TACKL Health tested and vaccinated at their location in Coach’s Corner, but they wanted a different location more in the center of town to meet demand.

Jacquelyn Harn, Director of Marketing, says this site at 311 Eisenhower Drive is a must for the time being, especially because larger sites are fully booked. She says they are testing a lot of younger kids now that school is back and a lot of people hoping to travel. She says most people want the rapid antigen test because they need test results quickly.

Harn says the tests were slow during the summer months, but now, on their busiest days, they test about 100 people.

“Compared to the beginning, we see that more people are being tested at all of our locations. So not just in Savannah, but also at our airport locations. We’re seeing numbers that we hadn’t even seen at the height of COVID, ”said Jacquelyn Harn, Marketing Director of TACKL Health.

The test site is open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. No appointments are required and the tests are conducted in a drive-thru style. In addition, the tests are reimbursable through insurance.
